PRESQUE ISLE, Maine—The Wintergreen Arts Center is pleased to announce that Melanie Cyr was recently named the organization’s private party and event planner.
Cyr joins Wintergreen with over 10 years of experience organizing and promoting events including birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, holiday parties, and more. She is a native of Presque Isle, and studied studio art at the University of Maine in Orono with a focus in sculpture and painting.
“Melanie is a perfect fit for Wintergreen,” said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen’s executive director. “From volunteering her talent for our CHAIR-ity fundraiser, to attending a variety of events at the Center, Melanie always has a smile on her face and makes everyone feel comfortable. Her work ethic, customer service skills, and creativity are just what we need to help families plan events they’ll remember for a lifetime.”
Cyr and her husband live in Presque Isle with their young daughter. She also works as a bar supervisor for a local restaurant and finds joy in being an artist and stay-at-home mom.
“I am always thrilled to incorporate my creativity and strengths in design into any job I’ve had,” said Cyr. “I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to helping people create affordable, memorable events at Wintergreen.”
