Maine Arts Commission recognizes Wintergreen with Partnership Grant

Presque Isle, Maine—Wintergreen Arts Center recently received funding in the amount of $5,100 from the Maine Arts Commission Organization Partnership program.

The award establishes a partnering process between the Wintergreen Arts Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.

“This grant is the second consecutive funding award from the Maine Arts Commission’s Partnership program” said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen’s executive director.  “And, the fifth consecutive grant in total.”

Beginning in 2016, Wintergreen received three consecutive Organizational Development grants from the Maine Arts Commission for leadership training, database management, and strategic planning.

“Wintergreen is a stronger organization thanks to our partnership with the Maine Arts Commission,” said Hutchins.  “The Commission’s staff and support have helped us evolve and develop momentum in our mission to encourage creativity and the arts in Aroostook County.”
